ProfileDr. Thomas Agyarko-Poku is a Venereologist, Public Health Physician and Research Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Public Health System Strengthen.
Dr. Poku holds Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Master of Philosophy in Clinical Microbiology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. In addition he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Genitourinary Medicine and Venereology from University of Liverpool, UK, Master of Science Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London UK and Doctor of Philosophy Public Health from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He is fellow of a number of local and International organizations including Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH), International Union Against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI), International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM), Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) and Ghana Medical Associate.
Dr Agyarko-Poku is currently the Head of Infectious Diseases Unit of Suntreso Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Regional Programme Manager of STI/HIV/AIDS Control Programme, Ghana Health Services.
He is an Adjunct Lecturer in Clinical Medicine, Medical Communication, Infectious Diseases, Public Health and Sexual and Reproductive at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana and Christian Service University College.
In addition Dr Agyarko-Poku works and service on the board of a number of governmental and non-governmental charity organizations including PPAG, Otumfuo Charity Foundation, Serwaa Ampem Foundation for Children and Board member of a number of second cycle institutions.
Dr Agyarko-Poku has conducted a number of research and published many scholarly articles and presented papers on Sexual Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections and other infectious diseases as well as health policy and planning. He has been a very vocal advocate on Sexual and Reproductive Health has actively contributed to the development of curricula and documents on sexual health care policy and guidelines at governmental and non-governmental levels at the national and international level.

ProfileMrs. Rachel Nyamah Obeng is the Principal Nursing officer (Public Health) at the Suntreso Government Hospital. She holds MA in health Education from the University of Cape Coast, Bsc Public Health from the Catholic University College, Advanced Diploma (Public Health Nurse), she is also a certified State registered Midwife, certified State registered Nurse and finally a certified Community Health Nurse. In addition, she is also an associate member of Ghana Collage of nursing and midwifes.
She has worked her way up the ranks of her profession via both academic certification and long service progression, her vast rich experience has been displayed wherever she has worked. Mrs. Rachel Nyamah Obeng is currently the Public Health Nurse In-Charge and Sub Metro CHPS coordinator, Reproductive and Child Health Unit – Public Health Department, Suntreso Government Hospital, prior to her current position she has worked as a certified Community Health Nurse, State registered Nurse, registered Midwife moving from one hospital to the other where she will be assigned with diverse job description.
She is on top of her game and up to speed as the Principal Nursing Officer (Public Health) ensuring that the hospital derived maximum benefit, she has worked and gained rich experience by taking up many roles assigned on the way to her current position which has culminated in making her an indispensable member of the core management team which has the oversight duties in the running of the Suntreso Government Hospital.
ProfileMrs. Andrey N. Twumasi-Ankrah is the Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Suntreso Government Hospital. She holds BBA (Management), Health Administration & Management from (GIMPA). She has participated in the development of sample objectives staff for performance appraisal for QPH/GHS revised project that took place in Kumasi.
She has worked as Gynaecologist at Mampong Maternity Hospital and as well as the Obstetrics and Surgical nurse at Suntreso Hospital.
In dispensing her duty as the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, she has ensured efficient management and judicious use of both human and requisite resources available for the delivery of Medical Health Care.
Furthermore, she is part of Suntreso Government Hospital core management team, that take vital and important decisions in the running of the hospital.
